I’m being productive today – a second post. Actually, I was productive yesterday, because that’s when I did the building, but you’ll see why you’re only reading about it now…
But I finally managed to get the basic furniture, moved almost all the models and materials over, and yesterday I finally christened the new workspace!
As promised, I also started filming the builds again. I admit I’m a little rusty… I filmed yesterday and edited the video in the evening, but ran out of time to work on the sound. So today, after setting up Ivan’s cameras, I came home, watched a few YouTube explanations of how to do certain things, and you can see the result below.
Now, back to the model. I decided to continue the last model I had filmed: MENG’s SS-016 kit, representing the Russian 96K6 Pantsir-S1 air defence system in 1:35 scale.
Last time – almost a year ago – I thought I had nearly finished the first three steps. It turned out that I had missed two parts, C43 and C17, in step 2, so that’s where I picked things up:

Nothing complicated; it took a few minutes. To my surprise, while reading the old article, I realised I might have forgotten another part again – C21 🤣. Never mind. Tomorrow we’re having our weekly D&D session, Vecna: Eve of Ruin, at the studio, so I’ll check whether that’s true. If it is, I’ll sort it out on Thursday.

In step 3, I glued the engine and radiator to the chassis, so that omission has now been sorted out.

At least I finished this entire step. Or so I think, because looking at it now, I may have forgotten parts C22 and C23 🤣. Never mind; I’ll check those tomorrow too. The remaining parts weren’t particularly troublesome, as you can see for yourself if you decide to watch the video…

I plan to continue on Thursday, after checking tomorrow whether I really have completed all the steps…
