I wasn’t supposed to be building today, but there you go – I couldn’t resist 😁
We had a very good session of our Vecna: Eve of Ruin campaign, and Ivan, our DM, dropped me home at 10:10 p.m. Step 2 looked easy enough and… By 10:35 p.m., I had already set up the worktable 🤣

And it did turn out to be fairly easy. Unfortunately, it reinforced my impression that Trumpeter’s moulding quality is noticeably behind MENG’s, and fitting the parts takes considerably more puzzling, filing, patience and time. In this step, the problem was fitting A14 to A4. I couldn’t get it quite the way I wanted, leaving a gap that I’ll need to fill with putty or Liquid Green Stuff. How I’ll sand it once it dries is something I’ll worry about when the time comes.
The other slightly awkward job was attaching the B25 and B35 assembly to A4. There simply isn’t much room inside A4, and manoeuvring the parts, even with tweezers, is a little challenging.
And, of course, bending photo-etched part PE-7. If yesterday I thought I was bending impossibly small pieces, today I proved that I can successfully bend pieces half that size 🤣 Once again, the little MasterTools bending tool was indispensable!
So, after around 40 minutes of work, this is where I got to:

I hope to continue with step 3 tomorrow 😉
