I am continuing the build of Zvezda\u2019s 203 mm B-4 (M1931) howitzer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

From this point onward, unless stated otherwise or obvious from the context, all abbreviations use the Latin alphabet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The end is in sight!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today Nadya and Elena went out for a walk so I could have some time for the model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps 7a, 7, 8, 9a, 9b, 9, 10a, 10b, 10, 11a, 11, 12<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The work was much the same as yesterday\u2014no problems, and all the parts fit together almost perfectly. Just be careful how you orient the assemblies 9a<\/strong>, because their component parts C30<\/strong> turned out not to be symmetrical. My advice is to position them without gluing them, cut part C27<\/strong> off the sprue, and try fitting it over them. If something does not look right, turn one or both around and try again until you find the correct orientation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All I have left is to \u201cassemble\u201d the tracks… That worries me a little, because I want to glue almost all of them together while still being able to remove them from the running gear for painting. Well\u2014we shall see how I get on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
